I’m Sharon Arrington, a seasoned spiritual director with a deep commitment to walking prayerfully alongside others as they seek to deepen their spiritual lives. As the founder of Inward Shifts, LLC, I primarily serve women through one-on-one spiritual direction and transformative spiritual experiences designed to nurture a more intimate connection with God.
 

In our sessions, I bring a gentle, compassionate presence and engage with honesty and appropriate transparency. My own spiritual journey has been deeply shaped by work as a chaplain and minister, roles in which I’ve had the sacred privilege of accompanying people through grief, illness, spiritual challenges, and moments of profound questioning. These experiences have given me a deeper understanding of life’s complexities and the importance of holding sacred space to listen for God’s voice—especially in times of uncertainty and pain.
 

Before this chapter of my life, I spent over 30 years in various professional roles—from licensed financial representative/consultant  roles with major retirement/investment firms, entrepreneurial ventures with public speaking across industries such as insurance, healthcare, beauty, image consulting and wellness. After decades of outward-facing work, I began to feel a gentle but undeniable pull inward—a new calling to help others experience the peace and unconditional love of God.
 

I  received my certificate in Spiritual Direction from the Haden Institute in Flat Rock, NC and Advanced Certification in Spiritual Direction from Healing Care Ministries(Columbus, Ohio). Additional studies included an M.Div. from the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University (Richmond, VA) , completion of 5 units of Clinical Pastoral Education and Board Certification as a Professional Chaplain., B.A.  from the University of NC in Chapel Hill,  and Diploma in Fashion Merchandising  from Miller Motte Business College.
 

This journey has led me to create spaces for stillness, reflection, and rest for others—where unspoken spiritual questions can surface and where people can rediscover hope, healing, and a renewed sense of meaning.
 

 As I continue to be still, listen and grow in clarity about how God is calling me to serve, my purpose remains steady: to help you make inward shifts that foster your spiritual growth, and deepens your intimacy with God. Whether it’s through spiritual direction, learning and engaging spiritual disciplines, attending a retreat or simply creating space for you to be fully seen and heard, it would be an honor to walk alongside you.
